HOW TO BUILD A STRONGER MIND, BODY & SPIRIT

Welcome to our blog,

We believe anyone can learn how to learn how to use their “Internal Power” easily with the information contained in our blog.

Results are greater body & mind strength, reduce stress, better digestion, restful sleep, feel & look younger!!!

The 3 Steps Of True Learning

  • teaching
  • training
  • applying

Our blog content comes from over 40 years of experience.

During my first 14 years of training Wing Chun Kung Fu, I suffered many injures, from head to toe.

Fortunately my injuries did not required surgery but it did cause much pain during training or working.

The majority of the injures I suffered were from dumb things I did & most were self inflicted.

In fact most of injuries that occur, to many other martial artist & athletes, also are self inflicted.

Most of the dumb injuries can be avoided if good instructions & how to train properly were readily available.

The ability to “Empty Your Cup” enables accelerated learning.

Act similar to a child with no preconceive thoughts or ideas to our words & instructions.

Become open to new ideas that will keep you up with the mind blowing life changing times happening right now in the 21st century.

  • metaphors & stories are great to stimulate the part of your brain that responds to feelings not words
  • classical conditioning makes training our sub/un-conscious fun
  • more western health experts now advice applying subtle energies into our everyday lives now

We use music to train the sub/un-conscious while posing in nice postures to ground your body’s energies (Qi).

An example of the use of Classical Conditioning for rooting our feet will be demonstrated at the end of the blog.

After 14 years of being young & dumb, I decided to either get into real estate,

or find a way to stay healthy, so I could continue teaching Wing Chun as my lively hood.

The solution came when a friend introduced me to Dr. John Sheck Yee,  LAC (Licensed Acupuncturist, California).

At Dr. Yee’s clinic, I learned Acupuncture, Chinese Dit Ta (hit, fall) herbal medicine & Qigong.

Learning how to heal compliments how to fight as the two should not be separated.

The secret advance training of the Chinese martial arts consisted of the Acupuncture Meridian-Circuit System,
cardio vascular system & ancient martial arts philosophies.

The Chinese healing arts introduced the Acupuncture Meridian Circuit System,
cardio vascular system & ancient martial arts philosophies first.

The two are a Yin & Yang match.

At the clinic, Dr. Yee did not treat me. rather he taught me how to heal myself.

Before becoming an apprentice with Dr. Yee, I had allergies to certain foods.

Other complaints were joint & back pain,

stiff neck & exhaustion from working out too much.

During my 5 years at Dr. Yee’s clinic, learning to heal myself, all my food allergies disappeared.

The joint & back pains from old injuries quickly faded away.

Finally my cold & sweaty palms are now dry & comfortably warm.

Five years flew by as my fascination art for the Chinese Healing Arts blossomed.

With my new body & sense of well being, the need to get back into shape occurred.

Going back to Wing Chun training at United States Kung Fu Academy came naturally.

The internal power I gained while learning Qigong & not training Wing Chun really surprised the elder students.

The foundation & rooting I developed from practicing Qigong strengthen my Wing Chun skills by ten fold.

Not just defeating but cheerfully play defeat my opponents was mind blowing.

My opponents can not even stand in balance when we touched hands.

This explains the poetry from Tai Chi “When we touch – my hands fill him with wonder”.

CREATING A BRIDGE DEFENSE

For the past 30 years my personal mission was to find out how to teach what I learned into a system.

Not just a fighting system also a self healing system as well.

Breaking down a simple move to teach another quickly became complicated.

The system had to be perfected so that a child could learn easily.

Easy does not mean simple & vice vera.

After 30 years of researching how to teach an art, we finally discovered a method that solves how to teach a student effective & quickly, in a easy & simple to learn manner.

We teach “Internal Power” through information, illustrations & videos.

Below are the 9 internal systems that are closely related to your spinal cord.

AOHSD Qigong teaches how to implement the internal aspects of our body with the physical movements implementing “30 second Qigong”.

All 9 “Internal Systems” operate simultaneously when doing the physical Qigong movements.

Putting your consciousness on the appropriate “Internal System” in proper sequence strengthens your Mind, Body & Spirit.

AS PROMISED – CLASSICAL CONDITIONING DEMONSTRATION

We will do the “Yi Zhi Keem Yueng Ma” stance.

The class would take only 1 instruction at a time & concentrate on that 1 instruction only.

The 1st level instruction for rooting your feet – “put as much of  both your feet into the ground” as possible while standing in stance.

“Put as much of your feet on the ground” will be the only thought you think to your sub/un-conscious mind on doing while in stance.

Do not allow the instruction“put as much of both your feet into the ground”  to drift off from your mind.

Begin the stance by putting gentle pressure of both feet into the ground.

Gradually add more pressure with your feet firmly against the floor.

Relax & let go of tension every where else in your body.

Notice what happens next.

Take notice.

Practice the stance daily beginning

  • day 1 stand for 30 seconds
  • day 2 stand for 35 second
  • day 3 stand for 40 seconds
  • day 4 stand for 45 seconds
  • day 5 stand for 50 seconds
  • day 6 stand for 55 seconds
  • day 7 stand for 60 seconds

After you have stood for 60 seconds you will be prepared for instruction #2.

Remember that you are training a new habit.

Kung Fu Proverb: “It is not who started first – who ever finishes first – is first”.

Happy Standing & Feel The Earth Move !!!!!
